The ED treats about 150 patients per day with a dedicated radiology suite in the ED for plain film and CT imaging. We have a diverse nursing and ED Tech team.

Hours/Shift:

Full Time (36hrs) - Nights

Qualifications:

* Minimum ADN, BSN or higher preferred
* RN license in good standing

Department/Position Overview:

3 West Ortho is a 12 bed unit that accommodates a variety of post operative surgical procedures including total hip, knees, shoulders, ankles &amp; spine. We do anywhere from 10-20+ surgical admissions &amp; discharges per week so we have a quick patient turnover. Being that most of our patients are admitted via elective procedure it makes the patient population a joy as they are often very thankful for our staff &amp; have an anticipated plan of care managing pain, physical therapy &amp; monitoring post operative complications. We enforce more independence by promoting mobility which decreases the amount of total care patients we have which is also a bonus for our small unit.

What makes It great to be an RN on our unit? I pride myself on having a TEAM of nurses who are passionate about what they do. This increases their ability to provide a positive work environment where each staff member works together to complete their daily tasks through the busy days of a bedside nurse. My unit coordinators work closely will all bedside nurses &amp; especially new nurses to ensure they become comfortable &amp; confident in the care they provide.
