Certified Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal Intensive Care - (CRT - NICU)
StartDate: 02/15/2021Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $1100.00 - 1850.00

WICHITA, Kansas. 2+ years of experience AND the most recent 2 years MUST be in a hospital setting ONLY. There is a 50 mile radius rule. No more than a 3 month work history gap in the last year. Must have: BLS Prefer: Candidates with these skills will be considered first. List typical procedures performed: Attend all Level 1 and Level 2 traumas Attend all Code Blues and Rapid Responses Transport ICU vented patients to Ct Scan and MRI Assist with Trach/peg at the bedside in the ICU Best personality Fit: A therapist is flexible, dynamic, confident, collaborative, and hard working with a positive attitude who enjoys working with others. Tell us about the unit(s): RT cares for approximately 84 adult ICU beds, 15 bed PICU, 83 bed Level 3 NICU. We are a Level 1 trauma facility. Number of Staff : approximiately 120 staff in the department. During the winter, we typically have on staff 25 day shift RT’s and 18 at night throughout all 4 facilities. Type of Equipment: Ventilators: Puritan Bennett 840 and 980 ventilators in the adult ICU with the Servo I in PICU. Non-Invasive: V6O Bipap machines, Focus, Remstart Auto titrate Cpap. Other devices: Heated High Flow Nasal Cannula, Aerobika, BAN nebulizer, and EzPAP. EMR -Meditech.

Required Qualifications
4 Kansas licensed Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapists. Must have BLS.

Preferred Qualifications
Kansas license in hand. RRT Credential with experience in the adult critical care area.

This facility recently opened a children’s hospital, which is the only dedicated pediatric hospital in the region. This not-for-profit facility just went through a $36 million-dollar renovation to continue its ability to fulfill its commitment to the community’s healthcare needs. The emergency service includes a Level I trauma center and Level II pediatric center. This facility sees 24,000 patients annually.
