Description

We're looking for Ambulatory Surgery Center RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in New Orleans, LA. The right RN should have 1-2 years' recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.

As an Ambulatory Surgery Center RN, you will work in a comprehensive practice requiring broad knowledge of nursing and clinical expertise surrounding intra-operative care. Many of the procedures are performed as same-day and the patients go home the same day.

As an ASC Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

  • Admit patient to the ambulatory setting.
  • Coordinate OR operations.
  • Document patient care services by charting in specific computer charting systems.
  • Comfort patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answer patients' questions.
  • Review post-retrieval and post-transfer instructions with patients.
ASC Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. Because of the fast-paced environment, ASC RN's must possess good stress management skills and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.


Outpatient Surgery Must have 2 years of experience as well as MS, PACU or One Day Surgery experience. BLS and ACLS required
