As a CVICU-RN, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to medical/surgical/cardiovascular patients needing advanced monitoring. You will be required to operate advanced medical equipment including use of central lines including A-lines, multiple IV’s balloon pumps, Impella pumps, and patients requiring Ventilation Support, or Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, as well as care for general medical and surgical patients on the in-patient unit. You will have the ability to assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision, act as a clinical leader, and assist with precepting staff. You will provide direct care for patients in the hospital from admission to discharge in all aspects of care including discharge planning. You will give direction to RN, LPN, CNA, Housekeeping Staff, and Dietary Staff and receive direction from Providers, Charge Nurse, Supervisor, and Chief Nursing Officer.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited RN Degree Nursing Program, required
- Practice in an advanced Medical/Surgical Unit and recent Critical Care Nursing including cardiovascular surgery, required
- Impella and/or other cardiac balloon pumps and CRRT experience, preferred
- 1-2 years of Cardiac Surgical ICU experience, strongly preferred
- Current State of Montana RN License, BLS, ACLS, required
- Complete PALS courses within 6 months of hire and renewal as required
- EPNC, TNCC certification, preferred
