Responsible for commonly performed echocardiography procedures with consistent proficiency. Procedures include: - two dimensional transthoracic echocardiograms - exercise/dobutamine stress echocardiograms - agitated saline (bubble) studies - UEA (ultrasound enhancing agent) echocardiograms Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.Job Description:EDUCATION:<ul><li>Graduate from an accredited Cardiac Sonography Program.</li></ul> CERTIFICATION &amp; LICENSURE:<ul><li>Level I or II:</li><li>RCS (CCI)-Registered Cardiac Sonographer OR ARDMS (RDCS AE for adult or RDCS PE for pediatric)</li><li>BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider</li><li>Level III</li><li>BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider ​</li><li>2 of the following:</li><li>RCS (CCI)-Registered Cardiac Sonographer</li><li>ACS (CCI) - Advanced Cardiac Sonographer</li><li>ARDMS - RDCS(AE) - Adult</li><li>ARDMS - RDCS(PE) - Pediatric</li><li>ARDMS - RDCS(FE) - Fetal</li><li>ARDMS - RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist</li></ul><ul><li>PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:</li><li>Level I - No experience required.</li><li>Level II - Minimum of 2 years of experience.</li><li>Level III - Minimum of 5 years of experience.</li></ul> SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:<ul><li>General knowledge of diagnostic cardiac sonography principles, procedures, and views as well as the operation and maintenance of imaging equipment.</li><li>Capable of performing routine cardiac sonographic examinations as well as a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.</li><li>Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.</li><li>Good time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline</li><li>Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS).</li><li>Work under close supervision or within clearly defined procedures to complete assignments within established timeframes.</li><li>Use existing procedures to identify and solve routine or standard problems.</li><li>Ensure the privacy of each patient’s PHI.</li><li>Builds and collaborates relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.</li></ul>Job Shift:VariedSchedule:Per Diem/CasualShift Hours:8Days of the Week:VariableWeekend Requirements:As NeededBenefits:NoUnions:NoPosition Status: Non-ExemptWeekly Hours:0Employee Status:Per Diem/CasualNumber of Openings:1This position may regularly work, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drug(s) identified as hazardous, or potentially hazardous, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.Pay Range is $52.91 to $66.13 / hour. Cardiac Sonographer II Pay Range is $55.55 to $69.44 / hour. Cardiac Sonographer III Pay Range is $61.25 to $76.56 / hour.The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
