Blocked scheduling is sometimes an option! 20-bed (all private room) unit. We strive for a 4:1 ratio but can have a 5:1 ratio. We have a mixture of pulmonary (pneumonia, COPD, BiPAP/cpap, etc.), cardiac (a-fib, heart failure, etc.), neuro (stroke), GI.
