The hospital is cliquey and admen’s don’t care about your concerns or travelers. So just go, work your contract, and leave.

Not the best place for travelers

The management team are nice and helpful. The staff techs and nurses work well together and support each other. Techs are expected to routinely rotate to the scope room as reprocessing techs. Techs are expected to have at least one late day and one call day a week on top of one weekend a month. I. Some instances extra call and late shifts are added and staff are routinely asked to work on their off day.

It’s very busy environment, the staff isn’t very travel friendly. It’s a very toxic work culture. The turnover rate is high.

If you want to be overworked with no compensation while they gaslight you into thinking that time & a half after 40hrs IS a reward, all while watching their “favorites” sit in the fish bowl not doing jack sh*t…then yes…yes…this is the operating room for you.

Patient ratios are dangerous. 6:1 for nurses including the charge nurse. They have things like shared governance to help get feedback from employees but no one is listening. And the pay is not worth it for being constantly overworked understaffed and often lacking in the bare minimum you need to do your job.

EVERYTHING right down to consenting patients for procedures……. IDC how much they paying I will  never go back
