University Medical Center of El Paso is the primary teaching institution for Texas Tech University's four-year Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in El Paso. As such, the University Medical Center of El Paso/Texas Tech campus is the only academic healthcare setting in far West Texas and Southern New Mexico.
