Great team work, understaffed, some Dr’s are rude.
It's an HCA facility so your ratios will always be higher than ideal. 5:1 on PCU and 6:1 on tele up to 7:1 at times on med surg. Typically 2 PCA techs for 30 patients. Charge nurse always has patients and is expected to do patient care, DC rounds, patient satisfaction rounds.. but otherwise staff is very friendly.
Travelers while experienced do not know everything and will have to ask questions as it relates to hospital protocols. However staff (PCT & RNs) need extra support, a whole lot of extra support so it can be difficult seeking help from someone that looks physically and mentally drained.
