St. Mary's Hospital New Graduate RN Residency - Expected Summer Graduates 2024

Summary RN Residency is now open for New Grad RNs that are graduating in Summer 2024 New Grad Residency Program Overview: * 8 weeks for Medical-Surgical residents * 12 weeks for Emergency and ICU The nurse residency program at HSHS St. John's Hospital offers a dynamic and engaging experience that will positively impact the nurse's ability to provide quality, compassionate care to patients as the new nurse transitions from student nurse to professional nurse. Quality health care begins with developing our caregivers. The graduate residency program facilitates the transition of new nurses to professional practice with an eight to twelve week orientation that combines classroom lectures, hands-on activities, clinical scenarios including simulation and support of a highly-skilled education team. The program then transitions to monthly support sessions featuring topics that help strengthen and enable new nurses with skills and strategies to be successful in their clinical practice. Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. Experience Experience in healthcare is preferred. Certifications, Licenses and Registrations Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required. Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
