Clinical Lab Technologist, Pathology, Hematology and Urinalysis

The Department of Pathology, Hematology and Urinalysis at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Lab Technologist III. The successful candidate will: * Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations and any other tests or procedures conducted by the Hematology Laboratory. * Have a working knowledge of routine instrumentation and methodology used in Clinical Hematology; specific familiarization with variant equipment. * Demonstrate good knowledge of quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting on Hematology methodologies and instrumentation. * Perform additional work as assigned, as duties and responsibilities are not limited to the above description. Required Qualifications: * New York State Laboratory Technologist license required. * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent college credits in Medical Technology or Biological sciences required. Preferred Qualifications: * ASCP certification preferred. * 2+ years of working experience in Hematology preferred.
