Clinical Lab Technologist, Chemistry & Immunology

The Department of Clinical Laboratories at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Laboratory Technologist III, Chemistry & Immunology. The successful candidate will: * Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations and any other tests or procedures conducted by the Chemistry and Hematology Laboratories. * Have a working knowledge of routine instrumentation and methodology used in Clinical Hematology and Chemistry. Specific familiarization with Blood Gases, Olympus and Architect instruments. * Have good knowledge of quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting on Chemistry and Hematology methodologies and instrumentation. * Duties and responsibilities are not limited to the above description. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Physical or Biological sciences. * New York State Laboratory Technologist License. Preferred Qualifications: * ASCP certification.
