The nurse manager guides the staff through action plans which support organizational goals of quality, efficiency, and excellence in practice. # 24/7 accountability for the delivery of nursing care Adoption of innovative nursing practices based on evidence Effective two-way communication and problem-solving at the unit and organizational level Recruitment, selection, orientation, and retention of nursing staff Ensure nursing staff compliance with the following; Professional development Adherence to nursing standards of practice Regulatory standards ANA Code of Ethics Peer reviews Organizational and unit policies Mandatory education Infection control practice Scheduling processes and procedures I CARE standards of behavior Budget development, utilization, evaluation, and adjustment Maintenance of a healthy work environment utilizing the principles of #just culture#, which neither holds the nurse accountable for system failures nor tolerates reckless behavior. NURSE MANAGER JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education/Training/Experience: REQUIRED: Graduate of an RN School of Nursing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor of Science in Nursing Minimum 3 years related nursing experience Minimum 3 years progressive nurse leadership experience PREFERRED: Master of Science in Nursing License/Certifications/Special Requirements: Possesses current state RN license. Maintain current BLS Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse License.
