Registered Nurse- Admission/Discharge RN
The Admission/Discharge Registered Nurse assists with patient admission and discharge process to support hospital throughput. Main responsibility supports a timely and thorough admission process to contribute to patient safety and provisions of excellent, patient centered care. Schedule: Full-time, 4 10 hour shifts per week. 9am- 7pm. Weekend rotation required. * Respond to requests for admission/discharge assistance in departments throughout the hospital. * Assist staff nurses with patient procedures such as phlebotomy, initiation, or discontinuation of IVs relative to the admission/discharge process. * Provides supervision of non-RN personnel and act as a resource for ancillary staff on assigned unit. * Supervises unit activities when assigned to charge role. * Acts as preceptor to new staff and/or students as requested. 1) Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. 2) Valid license as Registered Nurse in Connecticut. 3) BSN strongly preferred. 4) Certifications - BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
