This is especially helpful for patients experiencing symptoms that are confusing and impact their physical health. What does Inpatient Treatment at Sentara Behavioral Health Services Include? At Sentara Behavioral Health Services, we believe in focusing our treatment on the person, not the symptoms. Our comprehensive inpatient treatment services include: * 24-hour nursing service * Daily treatment planning meetings with a physician * Medication management and education * Nutritional consultations and counseling/education * Case management and discharge planning that actively engages the patient and family * Family therapy, as clinically indicated * Group therapy * Patient education groups * Recreational therapy and pet therapy Qualifications: 18 months nursing experience required. BSN required; Master degree preferred, if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required. Meets any requirements defined by specific specialty. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service. 18 months nursing experience required. Behavioral Health - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire. Emergency Care - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 90 days of hire. BLS required within 90 days of hire. Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.
