Job Summary Join UT Southwestern as a Supervisor, Oncology Nursing at the Simmons Cancer Center in the Transplant Cellular Therapy Clinic and help with our commitment to deliver compassionate care. As a Supervisor at UT Southwestern, you will have the opportunity to join a team of the top cancer specialists in the country. This RN will supervise TCTI staff - payroll, HR actions, and scheduling. Supervises smooth workflow of TCTI to include insuring adequate supplies for procedures and flow; active knowledge and ability to assist with BMAs, collections, fast track and infusion; collaborating with clinic, other infusion areas and departments for coverage and patient centric care. Job Duties Oversees and/or teaches others specialized knowledge and skills necessary to perform techniques and routines in area of specialty. Provides operational management of daily patient care services. Assesses, monitors, and evaluates systems for delivery of care. Assists in development of patient care standards of practice and personnel performance. Designs, executes, and delivers effective system of internal controls applicable and in compliance to laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures. Facilitates teamwork through planned group processes, i.e. workshops, seminars, and staff meetings. Supervises nursing staff and/or other non-licensed medical or office support personnel. May provide direct patient care. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience and Education • BSN required. • Five (5) years general nursing to include one (1) year supervisory experience. • Licensure as Registered Nurse by Board of Nurse Examiners for State of Texas. • A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) are required. • Oncology experience preferred.
