Respiratory Technician


Responsibilities: * Provide care and service to the oxygen patients at our accounts * Do nocturnal sleep studies * Change cannula's monthly * Change filters weekly * Clean machines and equipment regularly * Stock facilities if needed * Perform weekly visits to assigned facilities to ensure all respiratory services are up to date and patient care is given when needed for respiratory supplies and services * Report and document all respiratory services and supplies given to facility * Complete all necessary paperwork (i.e., Equipment Request Forms) for Month End billing * Turn in a summary to each facility visited that week of services provided * Attend monthly meetings and help in other areas as needed * Maintaining of all company valuables including company issued vehicle and daily completion of Vehicle Inspection Report Productivity may be measured by the following: * Timely completion of monthly paperwork * The number of patients serviced per month * Quarterly reports by the supervisor, from the facilities, about the quality of service provided by the therapist and the number of pieces each RT/RA cleans Qualifications: * must be detail oriented and have good customer service skills * must have a valid drivers license * must maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record * must be able to lift 20 lbs * must be available for assigned hours * must be literate in Excel spreadsheets and basic e-mail. The standard medical laboratory environment is one in which potential health hazards do exist. Administrative, technical and professional staff is expected to safely operate in accordance with applicable and appropriate health and safety policies and procedures, as prescribed by the Environmental Health and Safety Manual. Laboratory staff can be expected to work in areas where hazards associated with, but not limited to blood-borne pathogens. Biological materials, hazardous substances and radioactive material exist and are handled. Appropriate training is provided regarding these hazards and staff is expected to adhere to all health and safety policies, at all times, whether they are in writing or verbalized by either management or the Health and Safety Officer.
