Ophthalmic Technician


Community Healthcare Network is seeking for a Full-Time Ophthalmic Technician to support our Optometrists by providing acuity screenings and diagnostic eye tests. JOB FUNCTION: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Provide quality eye care services to patients. * Perform spectacle skills, visual acuity and diagnostic tests, AB-scan, Fundus photography, Visual Field, OCT and Pachymetry. * Complete documentation of all patient care. * Participate in the development of departmental policies. * Ensure proper professional conduct for optimum patient care delivery. * Promptly address patient concerns. * Responsible for accurate and timely billing and coding. * Ensure compliance with Ophthalmic clinical practice standards * Maintaining active licenses and all continuing education requirements for licensure * Facilitates related services for health center patients as appropriate with respect to their confidentiality and privacy. * Performs other related duties as assigned. WHAT WE LOOK FOR: * Associate Degree, which includes course work in a Bio-Medical Technician field, and three years of experience in the appropriate bio-medical technician field in an approved hospital or health facility; or * High School graduate or GED equivalent, and four years of experience in the appropriate bio-medical technical field in an approved hospital or health facility; or * Current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification preferred. * Bilingual Spanish (preferred)
