Our values define our approach to care, our culture, and our working relationships, and include: * Extending Welcome * Embracing Diversity * Affirming Dignity * Respecting One Another * Embodying Compassion * Increasing Knowledge and * Pursuing Justice Job Summary: Under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Supervisor, the RN plans, administers and assists in all activities on a sub-acute Nursing Unit, in a manner consistent with The New Jewish Home mission, vision and values. Job Duties: * Participates in, monitors and reports about the quality of life and care issues of residents/clients. * Participates in the assessment of residents/clients. * Participates in the management of the Environmental of Care as it relates to the safety of residents/clients and staff. * Participates in the surveillance, prevention and control of infection, by adhering to and ensuring compliance of staff with infection control policies and procedures. * Performs other related duties as directed. Job Requirements: * Currently licensed to practice as Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. * Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. * Minimum of 2 years acute care experience preferred. * BCLS required and IV Therapy certification preferred. * Rotating Weekends and Holidays required * Per Diem, Part-Time and Full-Time openings vary by shift * Shift Option(s): Day - 7am - 3pm, Evening 3pm - 11pm, Night 11pm - 7am SIGN ON BONUS $5,000 PRO-RATED FOR PART TIME
