Our nurses provide 24-hour residential and acute care services for children, adolescents, and adults with varying levels of independence and medical needs. The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional nursing care.  This RN provides evaluation, assessment, and assures coordination and implementation of care delivery.  This RN acts as charge nurse when assigned, provides clinical services and consultation including medication and treatment administration, MD/Professional contacts, & care planning for health needs.     Flexible Work Schedule Options 3rd Shift:  * 10:45pm-6:45am, 5 days/week, with rotating weekends.  Schedule adjustments as needed/requested  * 6:30pm-7am, 4 days/week- 3 days/week rotating, with rotating weekends. Schedule adjustments as needed/requested  * 8:30pm-7am, 4 days/week; with rotating weekends. Schedule adjustments as needed/requested.  * 10:45pm-6:45am (8 hour) * 8:15pm-6:45am (10 hour) * 6:15pm-6:45am (12 hour) 36/48, alternating weeks   Murdoch is currently recruiting for a variety of full-time permanent positions in multiple cottages. We offer flexible shifts and pay additions for hours worked:   Shift  Work Schedule  Shift Premium  1st  6:30am-3pm  10% Weekend Only  2nd  2:30pm-11pm  15% Weekday & 25% Weekend 3rd  10:45pm-6:45am  20% Weekday & 30% Weekend    These positions are based in the Infirmary.  The Infirmary provides 24-hour nursing care to individuals requiring hospitalization to treat acute illnesses, as well as comprehensive permanent residential care for individuals who require intensive 24-hour nursing care in Alpine and Ridgeway cottages.  The Infirmary provides emergency response and professional nursing coverage in residential areas after the nurses in those areas have left duty.  It also provides assessment and treatment of employee injuries for the entire campus after hours, and on weekends and holidays, and ensures administrative staff are informed of events as indicated per policy     About Murdoch Developmental Center: MDC is one of three regional developmental centers operating as part of the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF).  MDC in Butner serves 25 counties in central NC. Murdoch has approximately 1600 employees providing residential services and supports to people with IDD, complex behavioral challenges and/or medical conditions whose clinical treatment needs exceed the level of care available in the community.  In addition to regional admissions for adults, MDC operates four statewide programs, which include support for children and adolescents with complex needs.
