Nurse Supervisor - Med/Surg (Days)

The Nursing Supervisor performs nursing duties and makes management decisions following hospital policy procedures and supervises other nursing personnel who are responsible for patient care. The Nursing Supervisor is a proficient nurse who has chosen the management track. This nurse has general knowledge of nursing practice and takes responsibility for the development and nurturing of self. This individual serves as a resource person for nursing and other hospital departments and must be able to set priorities. This position will include accountability for maintaining high standards of patient care throughout the hospital. The Nursing Supervisor is responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care provided in the hospital utilizing the nursing process. Education See License/Certification Requirements Experience Two years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures. Licenses & Certifications * Georgia Registered Nurse License or Multistate Nursing License * Healthcare Provider (CPR) Qualifications * Proficient in written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to convey clear concise understandable instructions to patients, family, and staff. Must be able to understand information to make appropriate and timely decisions. * BLS required within 30 days of hire. This position is 6a-6p with up to every other week's shift falling on Saturday or Sunday. (0.3 FTE)
