Responsibilities Provide high quality patient care in conjunction with fellow team members during transport between facilities. * Perform assessment and stabilization of patients as well as any necessary diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. * Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments by collaborating with team members and multidisciplinary members. * Participate in decision-making and partners with the multidisciplinary team to enhance operational efficiency. * Complete all appropriate medical documentation. * May be required to drive an ambulance to transport patients and/or supplies. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: * BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. * Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. * Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. * Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. * Certified Prehospital Trauma Life Spprt is preferred. Education: * Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and 3 years minimum ED or ICU experience required OR Required professional licensure at time of hire and 3 years minimum ED or ICU experience required.
