School Nurse

Program Special Education Description The school nurse position will assist in developing and maintaining the school health program assuming authority for the care of students and staff members who have suffered an injury or illness. The school nurse will work directly with parents, teachers, administration, outside agencies and health care providers to meet the medical needs of students and to promote access to educational opportunities. Qualifications * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) * PA Registered Nurse license * PA School Nurse PK-12 certification * Two (2) years' experience in public health nursing or equivalent * Those with a BSN and RN License pursuing School Nurse certification will be considered Terms of Employment Full Time - 188 Days Salary: LIUEA Pay Scale (minimum $47,157), plus benefits* * The LIU offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, including: * Medical (for a nominal premium), dental and vision insurance.
