Certified Nurse Midwife - Full-Time 40 Hours Summary: Provide quality patient-centered women's health obstetrical and gynecological services for patients including comprehensive physical examinations, maternity deliveries, routine and appropriate sick-care assessments and interventions. Minimum Qualifications: threshold below which you would not hire. * Education in the disciplines of nursing and midwifery * Certified by American College of Nurse-Midwives Certification * Connecticut License Certified Nurse Midwife * Knowledge of professional nursing theory, clinical practice standards, normal maternal/fetal growth and development, and requirements of nurse-midwifery practice * Federal and State controlled substance licenses * BLS certification Preferred Qualifications: * Ability to independently seek out resources and solve complex problems * Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written * Ability to provide leadership in the clinical area of expertise and in meeting organizational goals * Excellent organizational skills Middlesex Health Based in Middletown, Conn., Middlesex Health, a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, includes Middlesex Hospital, a not-for-profit magnet hospital with 275 beds, and two Middlesex Health Cancer Center locations.
