We have an opportunity with OrthoCarolina for a Radiology Technologist for our OrthoCarolina Spine office location. This position will be scheduled for 8 hours per week with the option to pick up additional shifts as needed. The Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and usage of appropriate protection standards. * Demonstrates competency in positioning of all radiological procedures as prescribed by departmental policy. * Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding and address any questions or concerns. * Positions patients and selects exposure factors for various radiologic examinations and provides patient with radiation protection and safety in accordance with prescribed methods. * Cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiology equipment and ensures equipment is in working order and reports equipment malfunctions to Radiology Manager or designee. * Logs radiological procedures completed, processes charges and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed. * Logs radiological procedures completed, processes charges and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed. * Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and/or radiological supplies in the department. Education required: * Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the American Medical Association. Professional license or certification requirements: * Registered Radiology Tech by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) or ARRT registry eligible. * Current CPR certification recommended. * Reliable transportation for travel to provide staffing coverage and attend meetings at satellite locations/main office.
