TGH Crystal River is a 128-bed Joint Commission-accredited acute care hospital which opened in 1978. TGH Crystal River is designated as an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention), and Accredited Heart Failure Center and is a Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Center. About the Job: * Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements, and documents nursing care * Assists physicians during examinations and procedures * Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse * Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills 21 * Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Job Requirements/Eligibility * Must have a minimum of one year of related work experience and be deemed competent. * Must have current FL RN license. * Must have and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Seasonal RNs assigned to the Emergency Room or PACU must also have PALS. NIHSS and NRP required. * May be required to float to other units as needed. * A "shift" is determined by the need of the facility (i.e., if you commit to a weekend shift, these shifts may be 12 hour shifts or they may be 8 hour shifts, etc.)
