SUMMARY OF POSITION: Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center adult service line is looking for a nurse practitioner to provide outpatient services for individuals 18 years of age or older. The program is currently looking to recruit a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMH-CRNP) for an open full-time position. Our ideal candidate will be Pennsylvania licensed and have 2-3 years of experience providing psychiatric care. General duties of the outpatient aspect of the position will include evaluations, medication management, and interaction with clinical and physician staff. Outpatient and Telehealth services will be provided at Hershey Medical Center and other sites as needed and work with an established collaborative team of behavioral medicine providers. Requires 1-3 years experience working with the chronically mentally ill and experience with a broad spectrum of diagnosis and medication management. The NP functions as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team and provides a wide range of patient services to a specific patient population across the continuum of healthcare. By utilizing the nursing process, scientific reasoning, and critical problem-solving, NPs practice within the scope of responsibilities and prescriptive authority defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S): * Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization required. * Two (2) years' work experience as a RN required. * Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S): * Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization is preferred.
