Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Catheter Lab, Part-time, Day


Summary of Job Function * Utilizes the nursing process to effectively assess the needs of patients; identifies a plan of care; implements and evaluates the care given * Provides direct and indirect care to patients and leads the patient care team toward goal achievement * Coordinates and directs care given by other team members * Addresses system issues to facilitate the provision of quality and efficient care * Delegates appropriately to other team members * Excellent communication skills, leadership, ability, time management and problem-solving skills required Job Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure * A minimum of two years recent clinical experience in critical care required * Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required through the American Heart Association * Registered Nurse with a current State of New Jersey RN license * Excellent communication skills, leadership, ability, time management and problem-solving skills required Job-Specific Requirements of Position (including, but not limited to) * Participates in discharge planning * Anticipates potential length of stay or discharge problems * Proactively involves the healthcare team to reduce length of stay and utilization of resources Participates in discharge planning * Completes admission assessment according to policy * Reassesses patient condition per policy * Interprets and utilizes clinical data in the plan of care * Assesses patient for the potential risk factors * Responds effectively in an emergency situation so that the patient s immediate needs are addressed * Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and actual or potential barriers RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer
