Description Job Schedule: Full Time Standard Hours: 36 Job Shift: Shift 1 Shift Details: Job Summary The Registered Nurse 1, participating in the Anne Jennings-Vicie Brooks Nursing Fellowship, provides holistic, quality and cost-effective nursing care for patients and/or families within a unit or other primary area of practice, with an awareness of the continuum of care. Applies the nursing process within the context of the organization's Framework for Professional Practice while maintaining and participating in Fellowship requirements as specified in Fellowship Overview (Attached). Functions at clinically competent level. Reports to Nurse Manager on unit. Job Duties Evaluate and develop a plan of care for complex, multi-varianced populations of patients while partnering with the intraprofessional team to identify barriers that prevent transition of care. Identify, document, and effectively communicate problems and/or expected outcomes based on a plan of care; revises plan of care appropriately according to patient/family needs. Accurately collect, record, and interpret patient data using reliable tools, measures, and systems Organize care and interventions, identifying necessary resources in order to meet individual and family health goals Collaborate in establishing, contributing, and following plans of Health Care Team and educating patient/family about the plan of care Demonstrates competencies in Nursing practice (knowledge and behaviors), utilizing research behaviors, to meet age-specific patient needs Function efficiently in a collaborative manner with other members of the team to ensure quality patient care, continuous improvement, and cost-effective practice within the unit and/or hospital. Actively support research utilization; participates in research projects through the collection and documentation of evaluation data for nursing practice and performance improvement for self and unit.
