The RN will deliver quality patient care by contributing to the patient#s plan of care from admission to discharge. Specific responsibilities include: prepare assessment of patient#s progress and keep physician and family informed, monitoring pain management procedures, education of patient and family, lead the discharge-planning process, ensure current and accurate patient documentation, and delegate appropriately to ancillary staff members. This position requires providing nursing services to one or more age populations, including adult through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education/Training/Experience: REQUIRED: Graduate of an RN School of Nursing Excellent written and verbal communication skills PREFERRED: 2-3 years RN experience. BSN License/Certifications/Special Requirements: Possesses current State RN license. Completes Basic Cardiology course within 6 months of hire. ACLS within 6 months of hire. 12 Lead EKG course within 1 year of hire. Completion of annual skills validation. Preferred: Certification in specialty area when eligible.
