Advance Practice Nurse

Overview Florida Cancer Affiliates/Ocala Oncology Center is hiring a F/T, M-F, Nurse Practitioner with Oncology Experience. Bilingual and Oncology experience preferred. Why work for us? This care may be in clinic, hospital or virtually, via telemedicine. * Responsibilities may include duties related to prevention, screening, patient care, management, and research. May serve as direct caregiver, health care consultant, patient educator, administrator, or researcher. * Ensures compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards and requirements. Responsibilities * Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients. * Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated. * Performs procedures after appropriate training. * Assesses patient/family needs and provides education. * Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs. * Developing knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements. * Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion. Responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals and weekend or after-hour calls. Qualifications * Nurse Practitioner Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. * RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. * Oncology/hematology experience preferred. * Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. * Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
