Developmental Pathways has an opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in our Early Intervention (EI) department. The SLP will provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions to pediatric patients with speech/communication, language, hearing, voice, and feeding/swallowing deficits. As an SLP, you will provide therapy services in a client's natural setting or via telehealth for children, 3 years old and under, who are eligible for EI services. Will be responsible for adhering to the EI guidelines, documentation, and funding requirements. This role will collaborate with other disciplines, service coordinators, caregivers, and medical providers to develop and implement the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) for eligible children on their caseload. As an SLP, you will proactively identify problems, seek solutions for internal and external customers, and actively develop collaborative relationships with individuals, families, peers, providers, and other community partners. This is a 40-hour hybrid position, working remotely and in-person, coming into our headquarters in Aurora, CO/off-site locations as needed. * Speech Language Pathologists can earn credentialing on the job. As a result, there are certain job duties regarding billing and evaluations that Speech Language Pathologists must perform with supervisor review & approval. To learn more about our commitment to inclusion and diversity, visit our website: https://www.dpcolo.org/about-us/inclusion-and-diversity/ Requirements * Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree from an accredited therapy program * Two years' experience in the relevant field * Required specialty certification (ASHA or NBCOT) * Active DORA licensure in Colorado * Demonstrated experience with the specific programmatic concepts, practices and procedures * Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate family schedules * Valid Colorado motor vehicle license and provide proof of motor vehicle insurance * Meet our driving requirements - no suspensions and no more than two (2) tickets in the past three (3) years * Must be able to meet physical demands to include bending or twists of the body, lifting, standing time, and sitting time to include floor play/therapy, etc. Upon request, qualifying need, and approval, driving requirements may be waived in lieu of reliable transportation. Preferred * Working knowledge of Medicaid and private insurance billing * Knowledge of rules and regulations for Early Intervention * Prefer additional experience in an area directly related to job assignment * Knowledge of rules and regulations for the Division of Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Additional Responsibilities * May be asked to participate in supervision of CFY through CFY Program * Maintain up to 65% productivity with individual, evaluation, or IFSP Development billable visits * Use the Primary Service Provider Model to team with other therapeutic disciplines, service coordinators, and caregivers to develop and implement functional goals and strategies to enhance the child's development * May be asked to support categorical assessments and initial Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) development for children who are categorically eligible for Early Intervention services * Adhere to Medicaid regulations when this is a funding source (i.e. EVV) * Perform standardized or play-based assessments and completes all required documentation of child's progress toward IFSP goals in consultative visits either alone or in consultation with other team members, as appropriate * Develop and maintain working case files per department policies and procedures * Submit billing and supporting documentation timely * Assure paperwork submitted by other service providers, individuals in service and community partners are completed, distributed, and filed as required * Partner with service coordinators, Child Find teams, and other community partners who serve young children to deliver early intervention services * Attend and participate in IFSP and care coordination meetings; schedules and facilitates meetings as needed * Maintain EI Provider portal profile * Ensure adherence to Division for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities/DIDD rules and regulations and agency policies and procedures in provision of services.
