Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system
Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years
Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
Individual unit requirements listed in pulse apply.
Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email
We are only permitted to submit 2 candidates per opening, if the position is at max, we will hold on to the submission if a spot opens up
Pediatrics -MedSurg
# Beds: 8
Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:4
Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, PALS?): BLS, PALS
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: General medical/surgical pediatric patients
Experience or 'Must have' skills: Pediatric experience, RN's will read their strips
Are RNs required to titrate drips: No
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: N/A
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes
Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes - 1:8
Pediatrician in house 24/7? No. There will be providers in the ED that can assist after hours.
RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) Yes
Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? No Tele techs. Yes, RN's will read their strips, there is a central monitor at the Nurses Station. Phillips monitors.
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) 7A-7P and 7P-7A. Yes, there will be self-scheduling.
Weekend Requirements: Every other
Holiday Requirements: As scheduled
Is there call or a standby requirement: No
Floating Requirements: Yes, Nursery/NICU
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy
Unit/Department specific orientation: Yes

Nicole was very helping and always proficient with reaching out and even going above and beyond when the facility itself was slacking. When the facility canceled all contracts the day before start date she found me another position within the same week. I would recommend her 10x over.
