Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Great outcomes start with great people and Armor has an exciting opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Dekalb County Jail in Decatur, GA. Responsibilities * Performs psychiatric examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up consultation and health education * Works closely with the BHD and/or BHPs in identifying appropriate treatment plans for at-risk patients, or as needed * Intermittently attends morning huddle calls, when indicated and/or when there are high-risk patients that require multidisciplinary treatment planning and collaboration * Obtains patient histories, follows up with medication verification efforts, reviews pertinent medical history and develops patient care treatment plans, ensuring completeness and accuracy using the POMR format * Provides support in coordinating the activities of patient care and/or support staff * Participates in developing specific mental health policies and procedures, when indicated Qualifications * Current state license as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner * Current CPR certificate * Two (2) years of experience in psychiatric and/or correctional healthcare setting * Proficient with electronic medical records * Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen Armor Health offers career development opportunities, competitive salaries, and an excellent benefit package that includes: * Excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance options * Paid time off * 401(k) retirement plan * Short and long term disability insurance * Much more!
