Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator


Overview This position is a recognized pharmacy leader responsible for the clinical and operational oversight of pharmacy activities, and services. This leader directs employees of the pharmacy department to assure clinical, and operational goals of the department are met. Talent Pool: Allied Health Responsibilities Promotes safe pharmacy medication management services and provides front-line operational support as needed to support workflows. -------------------------------------------------- Participates in the department's staff development efforts to ensure staff clinical and operational competencies. -------------------------------------------------- Collaborates with physicians, clinicians, and other department leaders to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Works with the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee to promote the use of drug therapies that are safe, efficacious, and cost-effective. -------------------------------------------------- Maintains a broad understanding of all aspects regarding key service area and its interdependency within the department. -------------------------------------------------- Assists the Assistant Director, Director and Senior Director of Pharmacy in pharmacy service and program needs. Identifies departmental goals and develops plans to meet needs and goals. Provides human resource support to assigned direct reports and serves in the capacity of interim manager during assistant director or supervisor absence. ------------------------------------------------- Actively oversees learning opportunities for students and residents in their areas of responsibility Provides leadership, manages, and serves as a role model by supporting our Cone Health iCare values at all times. Qualifications EDUCATION:Required - PharmD degree or clinical postgraduate degree in Pharmacy (MS) EXPERIENCE:Preferred - Residency, board certification, and certification program in completion in key service areas LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIREDRequired - Current and active license to practice pharmacy in North Carolina, or eligible to obtain North Carolina pharmacy license within two (2) months of date of hireMaintains NC Board of Pharmacy permit if required
