The manager on the surgical cardiac Stepdown , William, was horrible. He was verbally abusive in front of people. No one found him agreeable to work with.

Depends on what unit you’re on but most of the ICU’s are not travel friendly. You will have the worst assignments, the worst possible schedules and rude manager/directors. Lots of admin changes that’s happened for the worst over the past year.

For the most part, I liked who I worked with. The night shift crew was awesome to work with. They were super helpful and we worked as a team. The Day shift crew, a few, seemed to not understand morning run and that they too were apart of that.  The instrumentation are very very very old in core lab. Chem breaks down a lot and Heme you can barely read the slides. The staining is very bad but the people there just deal with it.

Night Shift 2022-2023

The Case Management department has been operating in a way that made over 40 people leave their roles in a year. There's no trust in leadership, the staff aren't appropriately trained, they don't allow new hires to shadow, they don't use a check off to verify what was taught, there are ineffective tools for work, no consistency in how employees are treated and a terrible lack of communication from leadership to staff regarding the department and how they plan to address concerns that have been voiced for some time. The employees told me how they went to HR and 6 months later still have no answers, results or feedback. I wouldn't suggest anyone I know to subject themselves to that environment.

Management absolutely sucks. Ginger is not personable, not open and honest, and she cuts contracts for unethical, substance less reasons that HR usually clears because they have no real reason to.  Creates hostile work environment and they make senseless schedules, especially for nights. Biggest issues are management and scheduling. The hospital and staff aren’t bad.

They have a manager with no phlebotomy experience over the department. The older ppl who have been there for years will try to bully you if you allow them however, if you stand up for yourself or reach out to HR they will defend them.

If you don't do things "the piedmont way" they will say you don't know what you're doing irregardless of how many years you have in your career. Then everyone jumps in to make your life a living hell.
